The SYSTAAQ Sexually Transmitted Infection Panels (STI) features multiplex Real-time PCR which can detect several respiratory illnesses. The Comprehensive STI (swab) panel features a 19-target multiplex, spread out over 5 assays. The Comprehensive STI (swab) kit runs 36 separate reactions. The kit comes with pre-filled tubes of No Template Control (NTC) to be used as a negative control, and 5 prefilled Positive Controls, one for each of the 5 unique assays, to be run on the corresponding assay on each plate.

The SYSTAAQ STI (swab) Common Panel is a focused version of the comprehensive panel, featuring more common illnesses for faster results. The Common Panel features a 5-target multiplex, spread across 2 tubes, Real-time PCR kit per tube in an 8-tube strip. Each Common Panel kit is designed to run 40 reactions in 10 strips. The kit also comes with a prefilled tube of NTC for use as the negative control, and a tube of Positive Control to be run with the assay.
